Yes as said in previous posts, you can start import/export business with little or no penny. Today, we shall be talking about the “Basics in the import / export Business”.
With little cash, a phone set to answer calls from home, or on your bed, even while in front of your dressing mirror, you can work on your import / export business. You’ll need a file system and Business cards too. While you grow, you can expand to include dispatch staff and or executive assistance, get your cable address or a telex hook-up.

It may be slow at first, and you’ll need to rearrange, re-plan your moves from time to time. You need to brain storm on how to make it work always. Make contacts and SELL YOURSELF with quality. In a little time, you’ll start to make few sales and sign several exclusive deals worth money; you'll know your dedication was worthwhile.
Some lucky you may stumble on hundreds of thousand of dollars in few weeks. This is common among self motivated entrepreneurs. Make sure you make it work. It’s you that can do it, no matter my contributions/advice.

In order to understand how import and export business works, let first define, the words, Import and export!
What is import? The word import could be phrased in business transaction as importation, imported, and or import. Whatever, import or imported goods are commodities and or goods that are manufactured outside your country of residence, and brought in for sales, usually referred to as imported goods/commodities. The demand for this type of commodity/product/goods is usually from countries where the commodity is either not available, not enough or those available are of lower quality. Consumers are always in need of new trend, new invention, and of cause higher quality goods from foreign manufacturers. You can come in. we will teach you how.
What is export? These are goods/or commodities that are manufactured in your country of residence. To say it simpler, the goods that do find foreign markets are exports.
To further explain for your understanding of this topic “how import and export business works” is to inform you that, even in the so called industrialized region, including Asia and North America few manufacturers distribute goods outside. I mean Asia and U.S manufacturers are yet to meet exportation needs. This makes it obvious to you that most manufacturers in Asia, America, Europe, Middle East and Africa would embrace a Worldwide market, even if the opportunity would be from you, and its not been easy for companies that are limited in scope and abilities. What we are saying is that manufacturers in Mumbai wants Lagos/or Nigeria market, Nigeria wants U.S market, UAE wants Africa market, and it continue like that. Just continue to deepen your research for “who want what and where”. Find them, make yourself available for them, make solid connection, and initiate a Business relationship with those manufacturers /or companies.
Don’t forget all you want is that money! And the good news is import or export commission is fat enough, sometime to make fortune. The universal commission is usually 10%. You can imagine you having Ten percent of $100,000, $500,000 or 10% of a Million dollars. Don’t say my example is large; it’s very possible if you catch a transaction, involving say machinery, modern Hospital equipment, raw material, or even computer.
The market is unlimited and there are hundreds of manufacturers looking for foreign distribution. Sporting goods, clocks, electronic games, radios, house wares, garments, tools - anything can be readily imported or exported if there is a consumer demand and if you can get the products.
Most Government of this World encourages exports. Indeed, it is those sales that keep our balance of payments with the vast amounts of goods that are imported. And you'll find government agencies helpful in establishing your business.
