Now let get going with today’s topic; getting the Goods!  If you’ve been following our previous releases on Building Import and Export Business, by now one would expect that you have some products in mind to want to start with. And if you’re yet to have a product in mind, or yet to further your business research as regards this topic, one would conclude that this Business might not be for you. Remember, for you to make it work, you must be consistently persistent. You must do something daily that makes you a step nearer to your import/export dream. 

For today! Getting the Goods, I will start by saying that you’re nearer to the products more than you ever thought. Maybe you don’t know. Let me explain.

There are a good number, huge manufacturers indeed with little or very limited foreign rep or better said with limited distribution looking for foreign markets, and are not finding any/more. Don’t DULL. You can come in; exporting or importing their goods is a place to begin your international Business, with little or no penny I can say that many times...
You can take advantage of those manufacturers, since you have many qualities for convincing the manufacturers to engage you as the sole export or import agent. Maybe you could find product that interest you to start your import/export business. all you need to access these newly lunched products is to follow us on face book  

All you’ll need is to build, develop your foreign contacts, and know the demand for specific products. You’ll be their import or export agent to handle the sale, paperwork, the money, all shipment, customs, and foreign distribution.

The manufacturer in return will provide quotations, and you put your fees on top of that.  
The manufacturers have everything to gain - an increase in sales, gains more broader market, and more profit. And you have everything to gain - establishing your business, and a commission on the cost of the goods. That is the basis of a firm business connection and a mutually profitable arrangement. 

Contact local manufacturers first and then move into larger territories. You can make these contacts by phone, in person, or by personal introduction from contacts you may already have. Or, you can advertise in business publications and newspapers. 

Before you do get into a legal agreement, be sure to check the reputation of the company. How long has it been in business? Where are the products distributed domestically? What is the solvency and reliability of the company and its goods? When you make your sale, you'll want to be able to deliver.
